The firm is run by it’s Principal, Brian Thompson FCCA who has over thirty years experience in the accountancy profession:
Brian qualified with an Independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Leeds, before joining a Big Four firm in it's Financial Sector audit department.
He works closely with owner managed businesses, advising them on a variety of issues, including corporate restructuring and tax planning.
Brian has been the driving force in transforming the firm into “Real-time” accountants. This shifted the emphasis away from historical reporting to helping clients direct their businesses based on real-time information. Brian often says to clients “you wouldn’t drive a car by looking in the rear view mirror – why would you direct your business looking at redundant and out of date information”.
CPT have been able to change this focus by becoming Cloud Accounting Specialists, helping clients to embrace technology and make it work for them. We’ve found that this can have a great impact on business owners’ life strategies.
